Exeter 22/3/25
TV Therapy took to the stage at The Exeter with the kind of energy that makes a Saturday night gig feel like a festival headliner. With their signature blend of indie rock, and raw garage energy, the Adelaide-based band delivered a set that had the packed crowd hooked from the first note.
From the moment they launched into their opening track, the room was buzzing. Their sound—reminiscent of classic 2000s indie rock but with a modern, moody grunge edge—was tight, well-rehearsed, and effortlessly cool. The jangly guitars and reverb-drenched vocals washed over the crowd, creating an atmosphere that was equal parts nostalgic and fresh.
A standout moment was their performance of Animal Control, where the band hit their stride with a hypnotic Grunge sound that had heads banging and bodies swinging. The interplay between the guitar and bass was particularly strong, driving home the band’s knack for crafting melodic, emotionally charged tunes. The drummer kept everything locked in with a crisp, punchy performance, adding to the infectious energy of the set. Monz Teased the crown with a little song that will be coming out soon called "Thorne"
Despite the relatively intimate setting of The Exeter, TV Therapy played with the confidence of a band destined for bigger stages. Their on-stage chemistry was effortless, with just the right amount of banter to keep the crowd engaged without breaking the momentum of the set.
By the time they closed with a Hockey Dad cover of Join the Club the audience was fully invested—singing along, dancing, and clearly not ready for the night to end. If this gig was anything to go by, TV Therapy is a band on the rise, and it won’t be long before they’re playing even bigger venues.
Verdict: A dynamic, atmospheric, and polished performance that proves TV Therapy is a name to watch in the indie scene. If you get the chance to see them live, don’t miss it.
